Living the Healthy Life

I often joke that it's more expensive to live/lead a healthy life then it is to be lazy
and get fat

but I guess the joke is on me cuz I got to thinking that it might be just as expensive being lazy and getting fat

if not more so

But truth be told I'm having more fun attempting a healthy life

I've met people I would never would have otherwise met

I have done things I never thought I would do (half marathons!!)

I've tried new recipes

So it'll be alright, the pocket book that is

because either way you look at things

"a life" was gonna cost me

and I'd rather not pay with my life.

  1. it is easier and cheaper to eat junk at least in the short term but if you figure in meds and dr visits later on preventative health is definately the way to go, plus you simply feel better and actually LIVE as opposed to exist when you're healthy!

  2. I agree, being fat is expensive! Just think of the clothes. Going to a large woman's clothing store is expensive. $50 for a shirt? Then when it's on sale, it's $25. Think how much you can do with $25 at a regular clothing store. I love it!!

    Keep focused!

  3. I found that when I started living a healthy lifestyle I met more people and enjoyed life more, too. That's originally what my blog was designed for. I'm really glad I did, too. Yes, it is cheaper to eat unhealthy foods, but the long run is more important.

  4. I used to think that being healthy was more expensive but in reality cooking healthy for example its cheaper especially produce because you can buy in bulk cheaper. I for one don't spend as much in fast food or Starbucks as I used to. Plus a healthier you means less visits to the doctor. So glad you are embracing healthy! :)
